Hi there! I'm Annabell, creator and founder of Create.Art.People. I was born in Maryland and raised a proud Texan. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Fashion Design. I have been in the fashion industry for 7 years and love every minute of it. Trust me, I will find any opportunity to dress up!
So you’re probably wondering how I went from fashion design to launching CAP? I’m glad you asked! A couple of years ago, I attended a creative lettering class at Paper Source. It was a group of 8 ladies all coming together to learn. None of us knew each other, but by the end of our class we walked out of there as if we had known each other for years. We had the best time getting to know one another and learned new art techniques. The entire time I thought to myself, “Why not create this fun creative environment for kids?” And that’s where my dream began. Ever since then, it’s been a dream that’s stuck with me.
2020 was an emotional roller coaster to say the least, but I am grateful it gave me the time to reflect on my passion for creativity. I planned and brainstormed everyday until I came to the realization that what I needed to do most was take that first big leap and kickoff CAP. What I missed the most about creating art with others is the personal connection it can make. For me, it's about the process, the conversations, and seeing everyone's creativity spark.
I've been blessed to have peers that have helped me develop my creativity and I want to do the same for the next generation.
My dream is to have this community of kids that come and feel inspired to create art. We are here to learn, grow, and create together, So get ready and let's Create.Art.People!!
